Vi guideremo attraverso paesaggi centenari alla scoperta di luoghi antichi dove il vino è di casa da 2,500 anni. Qui sono nati il primitivo, il negramaro, l’aglianico, il bombino bianco ed il sussumaniello.
Day Wine Tours
Our day tours offer a great opportunity to be chauffered for an experience that will appeal to all your senses. You will savour some of the best wines in Puglia at the top cellars, and also transported to some of the region's gems. The delights of Puglia await you!
Lecce & Salento:The tour of Salento starts in Galatina where we will be taken on a tour by one of the owners of our first vineyard visits. His main focus is on fantastic Primitivo wines and the high quality olive oil produced by themselves.
The second vineyard takes us to Scorrano, where owner Duke Carlo, whose family has produced wine for almost 1000 years. Most of the wines produced here are organic, with fantastic white and Negroamaro wines.
We will have lunch in one of the best restaurants in Lecce, the 'Baroque Florence of the South' , we will provide you with all the necessary information and guide you to some of Lecce's most notable architectural sites like the Duomo and the amphitheatre as well as enabling you to enjoy some free time before we head back.
Matera & Basilicata: The ancient city of Matera, home of director Francis Ford Coppola has lent itself to film settings like, 'The last passion of Christ'. A visit to the famous Sassi (ancient cave dwellings) in Matera lets you steep yourself in history, where you can enjoy some free time as well. Afterwards we travel a short distance into the countryside to visit a famous Masseria where one of Italy's most prominent chefs will guide us through their wine and olive oil production.
On the way back we stop in Gioia del Colle or Gravina for a wine tasting of a completely different flavour!
The service includes:Pick-up & drop-off from Bari, Ostuni or Lecce (for groups of 8+ we may be able to arrange pick up from your accommodation.
Lunch of typical Pugliese cuisine and products. Opportunity to purchase wine from all the wineries and other products.
